GPDE5116B: Using Questioning to Promote Learning  (3 cr.)
Practicing educators learn to develop and use effective questions to promote student thinking, learning, and achievement. Teachers explore practical, research-based techniques to incorporate effective questioning strategies in their classrooms. Topics include techniques for engaging all students in the teacher-initiated questions and inviting student-generated questions. This course is offered as a flexible credit option course which is a one credit traditional course with a three credit option available. Learners registered for the one credit course can opt to continue their guided classroom inquiry with the course instructor. Learners that would like to continue the inquiry will need to register for the 3 credit section of the course. Registration for the 3 credit option must be completed prior to the last face-to-face class session. For further information, please see the update posted on the GPDE homepage.
