GPDE5661D: Personalized Learning - A Blended Classroom  (3 cr.)
For the one credit option, participants will investigate ways to structure their classrooms to increase their number of active learners. As part of this course, students will read the book, “Blended.” This book serves as a field guide which will help teachers implement personalized learning techniques in K-12 schools. It provides a framework to build a more student-centered educational system. Through the text readings, discussion boards, videos, and short reflection paper, participants will accumulate resources and knowledge which will help those wanting to make significant changes in their classrooms and schools. The three credit option includes the one credit work, plus a classroom Implementation Plan on “Personalized Learning.” That plan will showcase what you will do to change-up your current teaching methods, strategies, and classroom environment which will help you to maximize your student’s passion for learning.
