|Educators engage and exchange ideas about information regarding mental illness and suicide prevention. Identification of symptoms and/or behaviors associated with various mental health diagnosis, accommodations that may assist learning, as well as key warning signs that may be visible in the classroom. Seminar participants connect their understanding to an investigation of a chosen disorder and its potential contributing factors in relation to suicide. As part of the seminar, participants reflect upon their own learning and its implications for them and about resources that are available to teachers.
